23 years of growth and expertise
Excel Physical Therapy in Oshkosh has humble beginnings. In 1998, we began with a small 250 sq. foot office and a dream to create a clinic where highly skilled clinicians would practice and increase their expertise while providing treatment in a warm, caring environment. As the need for space grew, our physical therapy clinic quickly expanded.
“Prior to moving to our current location, Excel Physical Therapy expanded multiple times in different facilities, as well as increased from one to four Doctors of Physical Therapy,” Bob said.
Specialized training and certifications
Excel is a leader in clinical expertise. Our team members have specialized training, certifications, and memberships.
- Orthopedic Clinical Specialists (by the American Board of Physical Therapists Specialists)
- Manual therapy and vestibular rehabilitation certifications (for treating dizziness and balance disorders)
- Dry needling certifications
- Members of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Academy of Orthopedic Physical Therapy.
Dry needling proficiency
We now have three physical therapists who’ve completed their dry needling certification—Stephanie Korb, Zach Vandenberg and Bob Runge. (Dry needling involves special techniques with needles to naturally reduce pain and restore movement.)
Video oculography
As one of the first clinics in Winnebago County to utilize video oculography, Excel is a leader in applying advanced technology to aid in evaluating and treating patients with vertigo.
We currently have over a decade of experience with video oculography and are planning to increase access to additional state-of-the-art testing equipment. Our staff has also received advanced training in vestibular rehabilitation from internationally recognized experts.
Billing improvements
Our patients are our number one focus. Meeting their needs in every possible area is important to us, including payment needs.
To help patients who have no or limited insurance, we developed a cash/prepay program to keep physical therapy treatment affordable.
We also train staff in off-site billing, which allows us to focus on assisting patients while increasing billing efficiency.
